Gifted Deposits

  • the source and structure of funds
  • whether funds originate from overseas

Source of Funds / Wealth Checks

We are required by law to carry out checks on the source of funds used in your transaction.

Where funds are complex or require enhanced due diligence, additional charges may apply. This may include:

  • multiple or layered transactions
  • third-party contributions
  • overseas funds
  • inconsistencies in financial information

Fees for this work typically range from £100 to £500 + VAT depending on the level of investigation required.

We will notify you and obtain your agreement before undertaking any additional work.

3. Personal Injury, Credit Hire, Vehicle Damage and Property Damage Claims

Funding

We act under a Conditional Fee Agreement (No Win, No Fee) in relation to personal injury claims.

What this means

  • If your personal injury claim is unsuccessful, you will not pay our legal fees, subject to compliance with the agreement
  • If your claim is successful, we will deduct a success fee of up to 25% (including VAT) from your compensation

This applies to:

  • Pain, suffering and loss of amenity
  • Past financial losses

Vehicle Damage and Property Damage Claims

We are able to assist with vehicle damage and other property damage claims arising from an incident.

In respect of these elements of a claim, our charges are separate from and not covered by any Conditional Fee Agreement relating to a personal injury claim.

Our fees for this work will be agreed with you in advance and will be structured as either:

  • A fixed fee; or
  • A percentage-based charge, which may be up to 25% (including vat), depending on the nature, value, and complexity of the claim

This charge reflects the work required to investigate, pursue, and recover these losses.

We will:

  • Clearly explain the basis of our charges
  • Confirm the agreed fee in writing before any work is undertaken
  • Provide you with the opportunity to ask questions before proceeding

Other elements of your claim

Your claim may also include:

  • Credit hire or loss of use
  • Recovery and storage

Separate arrangements may apply to these elements and will be explained and agreed with you at the outset.

  • Dealing with insurers
  • Issuing proceedings where required
  • Assistance with vehicle damage, repairs, or replacement vehicles

Disbursements

Disbursements may include:

  • medical reports

Insurance may be arranged where appropriate.

Important Information

The agreement may not apply where:

  • you fail to co-operate
  • you provide misleading or dishonest information
  • your claim is struck out due to misconduct
  • the agreement is terminated before conclusion
